The
Town of Bentley is a small rural community close to Gull Lake
The first settlers came
from the U.S. and either walked or drove oxen from the nearest railway
station at Lacombe in the early 1890s. The community was named after one
of its earliest settlers, George Bentley. Incorporated as a village in
1906, the community became a town in 2003.
A paved walking and bicycle trail connects the town with Gull Lake.
